Three-dimensional mechanical processing allows tracing the joint axes.
The knee rotation axis is traced via a graphical / mathematical procedure that allows the alignment of the axis with that of rotation of the KTJ joint
.

For the implementation of the KTJ tri-articulator, surface modeling is required

At the knee initial axis of rotation, the "femoral" parts of the KTJ joints are placed and the upper part of the guard is made with reference to the hip axis
At the initial knee axis, the "tibial" parts of the KTJ joints are placed and the bottom of the guard is made with reference to the ankle axis
